Proverbs 31:28-29
[28] Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: [29] “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”
Prayer Point
If you are married, pray a prayer of praise to the Lord that your husband chose you! If you have children, bless His name that he gave you the fruit of your womb! If you are unmarried or don't have children yet, give thanks to the Lord for your station in life today. Ask in faith that the Lord would give you the desires of your heart in His timing. Bless His name for the good gifts He has already given you! And for any woman of any season of life, give thanks today that He made you in His image as a female. That He has placed you in the family you are in, surrounded by the Body of Christ and have unique giftings to do many excellent things with.
Application
Make a list today of things you feel that you do excellently and that your family or community might praise you for. This may feel a little uncomfortable or arrogant, but do this in faith and with a posture of thanksgiving. We are recognizing that we can do nothing apart from Christ (Jn. 15:5) and we are boasting, not in our works, in Christ (2 Cor. 10:17). Look over your list and praise the Lord that He has given you such good and fruitful work to participate in. Confess that you cannot do any of these things well apart from Him and ask Him to continue blessing that work. Lastly, go to the people that you serve and make you who you are to remind them of the blessing they are to you.
