My friend, we've made it to the final day of our prayer guide! It's hard to believe. Thank you so much for committing to pray and apply the word with us these past twenty days. We pray that you continue to seek these scriptures day after day for wisdom and encouragement in your every day duties. Blessings to you!
Proverbs 31:30–31
[30] Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
[31] Give her of the fruit of her hands,
and let her works praise her in the gates.
Prayer
Quite a lot we could unpack here! We see all of Proverbs 31 summed up well in these verses. Today, pray with humility that the Lord would give you the fruit of your hands. By God's magnificent grace, may your marriage, your home, your children, finances, gifts, cooking, friendships, decorating, clothing, all that you do sing praises of the King of Kings. Pray that you would not be distracted by the world, what others think of you, self indulgence, or self pity. Ask that your mind be fixed on God's holy word, and not the ideas of man. May your works praise you in the gates. Not because you are glorious, but because Christ is glorious. The virtuous woman has no virtue save Christ Himself, the hope of glory.
If you have daughters, pray the same for your little women. If you have sons, pray the same for their future wife.
Application
Spend some time reflecting today on the sanctification the Lord worked in you these last twenty days. Then, spend a dedicated 5 minutes to praising God for your basket of fruit. Thank Him for all the many things He has blessed your hands with. This can be said as a prayer to yourself or you could write it down in a journal or on a chalkboard in your home. We have much to be thankful for!
